Ladies and Gentlemen, Eric Burman and Brookdale Bluegrass are proud to present an evening of Bluegrass/Americana Gypsy Jazz Grass on Saturday, July 7'th at 7 PM (7-7-07)
at the Brookdale Lodge. Eric's new band Common Cents will unleash one whole set of original material plus a set of the bluegrass favorites that everyone seems to love.
Last March, Eric introduced Karl Kummerle, the young fiddle player. He played with the Brookdale Bluegrass Band, and also with his own Kummerle/Evans Band, creating stunning sets of
classical gypsy/Django jazz grass... well, he's back again to help with the evening's festivities, and to show off a little more with another set of his own jamming with the locals. (We should call his band "Karl's Bad Taverns")
The Bluegrass portion of the show will include such notables as Bruce Maurier on standup bass, Frank Solivan Sr on banjo, Sammy Sturnlight on lead guitar, Elicia Burton fiddle/vocals, and Eric Burman on guitar and vocals. Regina Bartlett and Stephanie Saksai
will be adding backup vocals. Regina will also open the show at 7:00. Bassist Mark Welker will be adding the bottom end for Eric's set of originals.
Come early to eat at the Brookroom, and enjoy the river running through the resturant... it actually has fish in it.
This show will be a fine warm-up for the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival taking place the next week in Hollister. This is another of Eric's babies, that has now reached 14 years of age.
