Scroll on down and see the whole darn thang...
| The
6th Annual Winter
Brookdale Bluegrass Festival will be happening
on
December 9th, 10th, and 11th at the cozy old lodge in the redwoods of
the San Lorenzo Valley. Yep, we're
doing it again, and YOU are invited! Check
out the line up so far - You
can all look forward to some blissful, musical chaos, and assorted acts,
natural and unnatural, with a variety of musical instruments.
Eric Burman and the usual gang of down-home
music enthusiasts will be on hand to bring you the delightful
entertainment we have all come to know and love. This year's lineup
includes festival favorites Sid Lewis and Crazy Grass as the
ultimate act on Friday night. Saturday
will fire up with the outstanding Chojo Jacques
Band, featuring
Houston Jones:
Chojo will be bringing his version of a bluegrass band to the festival on Saturday December 10th. The band consists
of Glenn Houston on lead guitar, Travis Jones on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Chris Kee on bass, and Peter Tucker on
percussion, all members of Houston Jones. They will perform their own arrangements of traditional bluegrass instrumentals,
as well as material from Houston Jones’ newest CD Three Crow
Town, co-produced by Chojo.
On Sunday, we once again have
the great pleasure of Harmony Grits, followed
by
the inimitable Joe Craven;
and his "Transitional
Traditional" Music as the headliner.
Now Joe will come whistling down from the friendly skies to drop in on our
humble fest as he returns from a whirlwind tour of Alabama. and who will
be joining him on the big stage? no telling, of course, and: In
Joe's words: "I'll create some looping of myself as I play fiddle tunes, sing, etc.,...
Let’s call it “Joe Craven - Old Timey Beat Box Music”.
